Gaviscon Extra Chewable Tablets relieve the symptoms of acid reflux - heartburn, acid coming back up (regurgitation) and indigestion - including after meals or during pregnancy. They work in two ways: two antacids neutralise excess stomach acid, while an alginate (from seaweed) forms a protective raft that floats on the stomach contents to help stop acid rising into the food pipe.
